Meatloaf: Heather's Famous Barbeque Bunyan Burger
Feb 12, 2009 This was so good! It was not easy to make, but well worth it. I found the cream cheese very difficult to spread, even though it was soft. Next time I would thin it with milk, I think. I doubled the amount of mushrooms. Also, I didn't grill it. Instead I put it in a 9x13 glass pan and put it in a 350 oven for 40 minutes. My family loved it!—Busy MI mom

Sandwiches: Good Burger
Jan 27, 2003 This recipe is a good place to start, but I wasn't thrilled with it as written. I like sweet foods, but my burger was so sweet I couldn't even finish the whole thing. Also, they didn't hold together very well while cooking, but that might have been because I pureed the yellow onion. It might also have been because our burgers ended up HUGE -- we used extra lean ground beef, which basically means we had enough mixture for six patties instead of four. They also turned out very sticky and gooey, which was pretty unappealing while they were being put together. The best thing about this meal was the chipotle pepper flavored corn chips I found at our Asian market to serve with them! Reduce the sugar by maybe half, make the burgers pretty small, and add cheese, chips, and anything else that will tone down the sweetness & stickiness, and they just might work.—Carrie Magill

Our 7 Favorite Burgers at Burger Bash
How do you pick a favorite older brother? That's kind of how it feels to choose a winning burger between the likes of Morimoto, Bobby Flay, and Michael Symon at Burger Bash. As Rachael Ray promised, this year's event had the most competing patties of any Burger Bash - 34, to be exact - and festivalgoers were obliged to make a Sophie's choice of sorts to pick the winner.
We didn't get around to trying all 30-plus burgers, so we can't confidently say that one was best. Attendees seemed to have a favorite - Bobby Flay took home the People's Choice Award and Jeff Mauro the Judges' Choice Award - but we did select seven burgers to showcase as our favorites of the night. Read on to get inspired - and hungry.

Sandwiches: Aussie Works Burger
May 12, 2006 When I first read the list of ingredients, I thought, "Gross!" (pineapple and eggs together!?!) but so many people raved about these burgers in the reviews that I decided to give them a chance. Well, first of all, they are completely impractical. They were literally 5 inches high--Even Mick Jagger couldn't get his mouth around that. When we pushed down the top, things would squeeze out and shoot across the table. As for the taste, it wasn't bad, but if I did it again, I'd leave off the beets, egg and pineapple which leaves you with your basic bacon cheeseburger. My husband liked them better than I did. I won't make them again unless he requests them.—JAWANDMEE

Burgers: Bronco Burger
May 02, 2007 AWESOME! I have cooked these burgers 4 times now and they get better everytime. Always grilled them, and made some alterations. For people who dont want the spicy, I've switched the jalepenos for chiles and that was all it needed. I've also added another egg to hold it all together, a full bag of chili cheese fritos instead of regular, and MOST IMPORTANT, a half cup of blue mon beer! They are so good, we will never cook regular burgers again!—Lewis
