Dec 22, 2008 This was an EASY way to prepare tongue! The house smelled great as it was cooking and I was really looking forward to the tacos all day. I was disappointed, however, when I tried them. The meat, while very tender, was not as flavorful as I had expected. I prefer the other recipe for Tongue Tacos on this site. Still, this is overall a good, easy recipe.—Rebecca B.

Slow Cooker Recipes: Easy and Delicious Chicken
Jan 03, 2004 This came out very well! I read all of the reviews first, so I added a few things. First I cut the cooking time on the chicken, and shredded it, but left it rather chunky. I added one whole can of chicken broth instead of a cup, and left simmering a little longer than an hour. (It wasn't dry AT ALL) I added some frozen green beans and peas in that last hour. Right before serving I stirred in some chopped, fresh cilantro...I had tasted it and it needed something, so I tried the cilantro and it was GREAT! I served it over some stuffed ravioli I had in the freezer--it was mozzarella and spinach ravioli, and I topped it all off with the herb and cheese mixture the ravioli came with. All in all, it came out great...my husband and I both had seconds (thirds...). ;o) I loved the sauce! Next time I'll try it with some chopped spinach mixed in... THANKS!—AGNGG

Burgers: Amy's Delicious Turkey Burgers
Sep 03, 2009 Nice invention, Amy. For those interested in a healthy eating plan, this can be something you come back to again and again. Indeed, it is a healthy recipe. But the best part of this recipe is that it TASTES GOOD. I mean it REALLY tastes good. Admittedly, I was really hungry. And admittedly, I was looking for something spicy and interesting--not the same low-fat, low-cal routine. And man, Amy, this fit the bill and then some. Thankfully, I doubled the recipe so I can eat these delicous burgers for the next week or more. I thought there might be too many red pepper flakes for my taste, but the bite was just right. I'm a condiment freak and I couldn't bear to even consider putting ketchup and mustard on these. I used whole wheat buns, a fresh garden tomato, onion and a few dill slices and with a little Mexican Bean Stew on the side (also available on the allrecipes website), this was a Tex-Mex flavored meal fit for a king.—CURTISLEE

Tacos, Burritos, and Enchiladas: Delicious Black Bean Burritos
Apr 16, 2003 This recipe is basically very good, but I only give it 3 stars because I had to change it for my taste. I didn't have the jalapenos so I skipped those. I really don't like cilantro so I left that out. I minced FRESH garlic myself for this recipe, and added chili powder as another reviewer suggested. The black bean, cream cheese, onion and pepper mixture was very attractive and appetizing, but I found it needed quite a bit more salt than called for. I added a little rice to each burrito, to make it more filling, and put a few teaspoons of medium chunky salsa in each as well. I doubled everything in the recipe and made six burritos to freeze for my husband's lunches. With the addition of the rice it would have stretched to about 10 burritos, but I followed another reviewers advice and saved some of the bean mixture for a dip.—dagny21
